Hi, I’m Jaycee!

I’m a computer science student, a follower of Christ, and a proud pet parent to Bullet, Annie, Opal, Pharaoh, and a plethora of reptiles. Life for me is a joyful mix of debugging code, digging into Scripture, and dodging chew toys!

🧠 The Tech Side

I’m just beginning my journey in computer science—currently in my first semester and learning the fundamentals. From writing my first lines of code to understanding how computers actually think, it’s both exciting and overwhelming (in the best way).

I may not have all the answers yet, but I’m passionate about growing, asking questions, and building a strong foundation. I believe that even the basics can be powerful tools when approached with curiosity and purpose—and I’m excited to see where this path leads.

✝️ The Faith Side

My faith in Jesus is the foundation of who I am. It’s not just a part of my life—it is my life. In every season, whether it’s full of clarity or questions, I’ve found God to be faithful, patient, and present.

Being a Christian isn’t about having everything figured out; it’s about walking daily with the One who does. My relationship with Christ shapes the way I see the world, how I treat others, and how I respond to challenges.

I believe in the power of prayer, the truth of Scripture, and the beauty of grace. I don’t always get it right—but I know God’s love is constant, even when I fall short. Faith, to me, is not a performance—it’s a relationship. A daily surrender. A journey of trust.

🐾 The Pet Side

My home is joyfully chaotic, thanks to my two dogs—Bullet and Annie, my two cats—Pharaoh and Opal, and a growing collection of reptiles. Each one has their own personality, quirks, and way of reminding me to slow down and appreciate the little things.

I’ve always been passionate about animals so much so that I wanted a career in veterinary medicine growing up, or so I thought. But more than that, I care deeply about their well-being. I’m especially dedicated to educating others about proper exotic pet care and animal nutrition. There’s a lot of misinformation out there, and I want to help change that—one conversation (or blog post) at a time.

Whether I’m mixing up reptile-safe salads or researching species-specific needs, caring for animals has taught me about responsibility, stewardship, and the value of every living thing.
